Kill weeds that have germinated

To-Dos:

  • Use Fertilome Weed Out to kill any weeds that are visible
  • First application should have been in April but two applications can be made this month

December: Plant Care

Although it’s the holiday season, don’t forget your outdoor friends.

To-Dos:

  • Clean up natural beds
  • Create definintion by edging your beds
  • After leaf cleanup, add mulch or pine straw to help insulate roots through the winter
  • Feed dormant plants with holly tone or plant tone

Watering Info:

Monitor and water tress and shrubs weekly. Most plants need 1″ of water per week through rainfall or watering.

What’s your PH?

PH refers to the acidity of your soil. After determining your PH you can use pelletized lime to correct it. This reduces strees and promotes a dark green color.

To-Dos:

  • Contact your agricultural extension to find out how to take a soil sample and retrieve the results
  • Use pelletized lime to correct your PH
